If you level up in Archlord, no matter how much experience you made on that crucial kill / quest, you will achieve the next level at 0% into it. Meaning that if it takes you 50 exp to level up and you gain 500, nearly all of it (450) gets ignored. If you see you are about to level you just should postpone big experience events in order to take full advantage of the experience they give.
