Free WoW Strategies: Playing priests right

Priest is honestly not a hard class to play if you know how to play it right.

This isnt a guide to go out and kill Onyxia solo, this is for the average fight you encounter wherever, knowing how to start a fight properly, and knowing how to react to a sudden attack.

This really only applies to Soloing.

I. Starting a fight: This is for the times when you see a mob and have time to set up an attack.

1.Preparation
a. First thing you do is make sure all of your buffs are in order, Power Word: Fortitude, Inner Fire, Etc.
b. Pop on Power Word: Shield. Alot of people make the mistake of putting on PW:S after youve already hit the mob with your pulling spell..this is WRONG...so dont do it. Instead, turn on PW:S and wait until you have about 15 seconds left on it before attacking. Most mobs take down your shield within 15 to 20 seconds, this way your mana will have time to recharge plus, by the time the mob takes down your shield, you'll be ready to pop on another one.

2. The Actual fight (first blow to last)
a. Many people start the fight with Mind Blast because it does the most damage and takes the longest to recharge, wrong. dont do it. Start the fight off with Smite...Yes you heard me, Smite. Nobody mentions smite in their guides because it takes FOREVER to cast. This is why you cast it in the beginning. The mob will then start rushing towards you. You want your second attack to be Mind Blast because you can cast it in the amount of time it takes the mob to get to you. From there you want to hit the mob with Shadow Word: Pain and start the DOT process. (If youre in a group, or taking damage at any point in the fight, cast Vampyric Embrace to get some health back)
b. So far your attacks should be (IN ORDER)
Smite
Mind Blast
Shadow Word: Pain
c. For the rest of the fight you want to cast in this order.
Mind Flay
Mind Flay
Mind Blast
Repeat.
And apply SW: Pain or PW:S again when necessary

II. Sudden attacks
1. Alot of the time youre going to get attacked by mobs that just spawned or ones that you didnt see. The outcome of this fight is dependant on reaction time...so the biggest tip is this. KNOW YOUR HOTKEYS. Quick reaction time can save you from certain death.
a. First things first, pop on Power Word: Shield. This thing should give you enough time to get the next couple of spells in.
b. Vampyric embrace, dont bother with Renew, Minor Heal, Flash Heal, or Heal, These take too long to cast and take up way too much mana. Rather regain health as youre attacking, your DOTs should bring you the amount of health that you need.
c. Shadow Word: Pain to start the DOT process.
d. From there just follow the steps in section 2 based on a normal fight.
Mind Blast
Mind Flay
Mind Flay
Mind Blast
Repeat.
And apply SW: Pain or PW:S again when necessary

This is really more of a guide to soloing than a group guide, its also entirely dependent on you being a shadow build.

PS: You cant cast Smite while in Shadow Form. Take that into account.

Free WoW Guide: Farm 40 - 60 Gold an hour

All you need is a level 52-60 character, any class.

Go to fellwood and go to the north eastern most lake. Around the lake you will find Toxic Horrors. These have a 7% Chance drop of Essence Of Water and they can be sold at the Auction House for 10G EACH!

There toxic horrors are very easy to kill howver they do carry a pretty powerful poison.

You can find 4-6 of these an hour pretty easily, and they are very easy to sell since they are a reagent.

Free WoW Guide: Make some quick money (lvl 40+, Rogues only)

This is one of the easiest ways to make quick cash.

Step 1: Go to Scarlet Monastery and go into Graveyard

Step 2: Once in the graveyard, kill the ghosts and ONLY the ghosts

Step 3: Sell all the greens in the AH and just sell the greys to vendors.

Once you kill all the ghosts in graveyard, just reset the instance or wait ten minutes until the ghosts respawn and do it all over again.

Free WoW Guide: Prairie Chicken Quest

1. Go to the chicken farm west of Goldshire
2. Target a chicken and type /chicken over and over (making a macro is highly recomended as this has to be done quite often)
3. Eventually the chicken will then "look at you interestingly" and get an exclamation mark aboue it's head
4. It will then send you on a quest to get "special chicken feed"
5. When you return with the feed (which you get at Saldeanas Farm in Westfall) go back and type /chicken and then /cheer
6. Click on the chicken again (it should have a question mark above it's head now) and when the quest is finished it will shortly lay an egg you can click on to receive a very rare Prairie Chicken.

Free WoW Guide: Increase your ranged weapon skills

Goto Raven Hill cemetary in Duskwood and look for the hole in the ground guarded by all the ghouls named Dawning Wood Catacombs.
Go inside and all the way in the back is a tunnel that leads to another mausoleum filled with skellies, go through the tunnel kill the 2 pathers and when you get to the side with all the skeletons just stay in the tunnel and shoot them at will. They will aggro but will not come at you and you will be able to raise you ranged weapon skills easily.
You will have to deal with the lvl 29 mobs to get there and the two lvl 27-29 pathers once inside the tunnel, just remember to bring lots of cheap ammunition.

Another possibilty to raise your weapon skills would be to go to Iron Forge Metro station stand near the exit and just shot 2-5 rats with instant respawn times.

Free WoW Guide: Instances with a high xp-outcome

Some might consider questing as the way to get leveled up, others prefer grinding. Here's a list to get your xp up with Instances, where you also profit of items the mobs drop and include yourself further in the community by meeting other players.

The list is sorted by levels as you just might have noticed

15-20 --- The Deadmines ---> In Westfall so kind of hard for Horde
15-21 --- Wailing Caverns
18-25 --- Shadowfang Keep
23-26 --- The Stockades
25-35 --- Razorfen Kraul
35-42 --- Scarlet Monastery
36-43 --- Razorfen Downs
38-45 --- Uldaman
43-47 --- Zul'Farrak
44-50 --- The Sunken Temple
45-50 --- Maraudon

56-60 --- Scholomance
56-60 --- Dire Maul (East, West, North)

Free WoW Guide: Easy gold at level 40

In the Scarlet Monastery, at the Graveyard:
You'll need a friend.
The first room, with the torturer spawns a chest that usually has at least 3 gold (or 3 gold worth of items in it).
Get the part where you kill the monsters down pat, it should be fairly easy. Even higher levels should be able to literally walk in and do whatever they want.

The fun part comes when you need to reset the instance to do this again. That's where your friend comes in:
* Group with your friend, enter the instance, and kill things, get the chests, and then, before leaving the instance, disband from the group.
* Invite the same person back into your group.
* Leave, the instance has reset.

Free WoW Guide: Rogue PvP - How to duel a hunter

The standard hunter sits on his frost trap and will shoot out flares constantly.

A nice trick is to charge in with sprint (try to do it from a direction he isn't facting) just until you get in range for a "blind" (the range of blind is 10 yrds, the trap has only a 5 yrd range).

Ideally, you do this a few seconds before he recasts flare. This way the blind will last longer than the flare effect and you will be able to restealth and start with your opener.

An alternative are engineering gadgets (such as mind control), but this one can be applied by every rogue.

Free WoW Guide: Group Play Basics

Hello there,

I want to post something about playing in groups. Grouping in WoW is needed for instances or special quests, in which one has to deal with multiple elite mobs.

Each group should contain the following players:

1. The Tank

The best class for tanking is a warrior, for his ability to take a lot of damage. Up to lvl 40, he is the only class to wear mail armor, beyond that he is the only one to wear plate. He also has special skills like Challenging Shout, which lets all mobs around him only attack him for 6secs, which is very handy for managing aggro, as stated below.
The tank's task is not to kill stuff, but to prevent others from being killed by taking most of the damage the mobs deal.
Advancing in level, the warrior is absolutely needed for tanking. In lower levels (up to 40, as I experienced) even a shaman or a druid in bear form may do the job.

2. The Healer

Each faction has 3 classes with the ability to heal through spells. The priest and the druid for everyone, the shaman for horde and the paladin for the alliamce.
The shaman's and the paladin's heals are rather poor, the druid's are far better. But the unquestioned king of healing is the priest. He has the most and the most mana-efficient healing spells, so he is the healer of choice for any group.
The healer's job is keeping the group at life, focussing on the main tank. He may not take any damage, because priests may only wear cloth armor and die very very soon. This is one of the reasons why the tank's life is so vitally important for he healer.
I have experienced groups who are efficiently healed by a druid or a shaman. Anyway, advancing in level, this becomes more and more impossible.

3. The Damage Dealers

There are some classes whose speciality is pure damage: The rogue and the mage are the classes dealing most damage per second (dps), but a warlock, a hunter or a druid can also be great damage dealers.
Their job is killing the mobs as soon as possible. The problem with them is, getting bigger and bigger in higher levels, that these classes may only wear leather or cloth armor, making them vulnerable for attacks. Therefore they need to do loads of damage with minimal aggro, while the tank keeps being attacked.

These are at least three needed members of a group. Not as vitally important, but still helpful are the following roles:

4. Support

The warlock and the shaman for example are both great supportive classes: The warlock's soulsone on a priest may help the group after a wipe-out as does the shaman's ability to resurrect himself; both classes have buffs to allow underwater-breathing (the shaman may also let party members walk on water); the warlock's imp's Blood Pact is a great buff for any party member, adding 17 stamina (170 life), but the shaman's totems also may give helpful buffs; and to end this list both may also deal much damage.
In short, a supportive role means adding buffs and preventing wipes, and also helping other classes with their tasks in a group, as in the following two roles:

5. Second Tank

This one mostly comes into play when the main tank is too busy with fighting mobs, but another add breaks through to the healer. No one in the group wants the healer to be attacked, so someone has to do something about it.
In this situation, a priest may use his ability Fade, reducing his aggro on all mobs for about 10 seconds. After that, he gets attacked just as before, so someone else should take the mob off him.
Now the shaman is a great class for this job, being able to create a great amount of aggro with his Earth Shock or Rockbiter Weapon while the priest is faded. Other classes may do the job just as good, but they should at least wear leather armor.

6. Second Healer

As there is a job to take aggro when the tank's does not suffice, there is one to heal if the healer's heals do not. The second healer should mostly be occupied with dealing damage, but should stop it as soon as someone need a heal when the main healer is too busy or out of mana.

I hope to have written something interesting to at least a few, and am open and happy for and about additions to the theme.

Free WoW Guide: Herbalism

My herbalism skill is currently at about 210. I do not know everything about this profession; my goal is to have a thread where everyone posts his/her experience of where to find which herbs.

Peacebloom: This one is easy to find in all the lowlevel areas. You should have enough until you have no more use for them.

Silverleaf: Same as Peaceblooms. They are mostly found where two ore three trees and a bush are located; seriously no need on these.

Earthroot: These can be a bugger to find. Mostly located at mountains and spots where you don't walk through by chance. As you need them for some nice buff potions, they also sell well in the AH. Anyway, don't sell yours when the weak buff potions are grey to you, you will still need them. I found that they are mor often found in areas with lvl 10-20 (like the Barrens) than in the areas my lvl36 shaman roams, like Desolace etc.

Briarthorn: These are found on small hills or under trees. I tend to find them kind of frequent in Stonetalon Mountains and in the Barrens.

Mageroyal: I find these more often than I use them. I don't know a rule of where to find them, just any area from lvl 10-30 I think.

Swiftthistle: These are picked off of Biarthorns and Mageroyals. Rogues will pay you a nice tip if you give them these, as they can make a tea of them which instatly gives 100 energy. But you also have nice potions to brew with them.

Stranglekelp: I hate these. Only found under water and needed in loads and loads. If anyone knows where to get lots of these in almost no time, please give me a hint...

Bruiseweed: They are very often found on small hills or near mountains. No problems finding these in Stonetalon, Thousand Needles or anywhere else.

Wild Steelbloom: They are found at the same spots as Bruiseweed, I think. But I don't know exactly, correct me please.

Kingsblood: They are found everywhere, don't know rules for finding them.

Liferoot: Near rivers. I think i found most of mine at the river in Ashenvale. Anyone know more spots?

Fadeleaf: Absolutely no idea.

Grave Moss: Same thing.
//Edit: I just found a fair share of Grave Moss in the Kodo Graveyard in Desolace. Maybe on overall death-reated spots?

Goldthorn: I was told they are found in loads in Arathi, but never was there nor saw any of these.

I hope this list may be broadened. I would be glad if anyone could say something about Stranglekelp, Fadeleaf, Grave Moss and Goldthorn.

Free WoW Guide: Disenchanting

I found disenchanting to be quite a rewarding way of making money.

Leveling up enchanting is quite time consuming and requires a lot of resources. You can hardly sell your services in the AH which makes it a real hassle.

Instead of skilling up Enchanting, I decided to take the trade and only disenchant the items. I'm selling the components now in the AH to other enchanters for a nice profit (compared to the price that vendors would have payed me for soulbound gear or equipment with useless stats)

Free WoW Guide: Dire Maul

Dire Maul isnt really a raid since its only for a single 5 man group but because it is balanced for level 60s, you still need to use solid raidesque tactics to win. There are 3 wings to DM each with a different plot/purpose.

North Wing

The north wing has one obvious plot and one seKreT plot. The obvious plot is that you go in, kill the ogres and eventually reach and kill the king. Its pretty straightforward and there is a lot of nice loot to be picked up along the way. Once you kill the king you can talk to the NPC that spawns and become king yourself and the instance turns green to you.

The less obvious plot is that if you keep all the named bosses alive (3 guards, the guard captain, the observer that tries to help the king and the drunk) then when you finally kill the king you will get a lot of Tribute in a chest. The more named you kept alive, the more and better tribute you get.

It is fairly simple to achieve this seKreT goal. The first guard is in the sunken area right after you zone in. Just go around that area the long way and you will avoid him. The second guard patrols back and forth across a chest. Wait until he paths off and loot the key from the chest. Then time his pathing and sneak by and open the door and advance deeper. The third guard can be trapped by fixing the ice trap but you can also just let him path off and run past him.

The real challenge comes when you reach the Captain who blocks your way. You can either complete the goblins quest down below and make an Ogre suit (and talk to him which sends him off running to fight Fengus) or you can train past him to the steps to the king, out of range of the pack of dogs, and die there. Resurrect with a shaman or a stoned priest and go on.

Finally, you engage the king. The Observer jumps in and will heal the king. So you need to offtank him or freeze trap him and keep him busy. Once the king is dead, the observer stops attacking and will apologize to you when you speak to him. At this point you can talk to the NPC that spawns, become king and gain tribute from them. All of the ogres will not attack you, and you cannot attack them, while you are king. You can run out of the zone (which causes you to lose the king buff) and come right back in and kill all of the named for even more loot. Since many of the monsters have not respawned yet you can make off with double the loot that way.

West Wing

The west wing has an entirely different plot and mobs. There are walking treants.. there are mana elementals.. there are undead.. It is a lot of fun. The overall basic plot here is to fight through and kill all the mana elementals around the 6 different mana nodes which causes the nodes to stop working. Ultimately you will reach The Prince and engage him. That is a challenging fight for a group so you need to be on your toes. It is a lot of fun. There are roaming invisible spirit guards that will pop out at different times and have fairly fast respawn times so be aware of those. There are also some roaming eyes similar to what you faced in Stratholme so kill them fast lest they call out and summon in reinforcements.

East Wing

The east wing is most often used for two things. First is to get the Crescent Key which lets you open the door to the North and West wing. The second is to farm misc bosses (as there are quite a few and they arent hard to get to) for their possible random book drops. All of the bosses across the wings can randomly drop different class books. Those books can be taken to the library in DM and turned in for a nice trinket for your class. The east wing is often used for major book farming.

The Arena

In the middle of Dire Maul is an old arena. When you drop down into the arena you are PvP+ but not only to the opposite faction but to EVERYONE. Your own faction can kill you. The only people that cant kill you is your own group. Everyone else can. Randomly spawning in the arena are some named. When killed they drop random world loot. In general its not uber stuff but they can drop the Orb of Deception so that is nice. When he is up shouts are made that can be heard in the instances. When he is being engaged shouts are made. There is no such thing as stealthly attacking him. When you attack, everyone will know.

Hint: Black Lotus (a bind on pickup rare herbalism ingredient for nice potions like Flash of Titans) can spawn in the area around the arena sometimes under other herb spawns. This is also a great spot for Purple Lotus.

Mental Strength
Rank: 3/5

This build is focused around leveling and kill speed, combined with mana efficiency and versatility. All of the strong Shadow talents are here: Silence for casters, Shadowform for damage, and enough depth in the Discipline tree to allow some versatility when it comes to healing and soloing. Improved Mind Blast is 4/5 because it allowed advancement to tier 4 without taking Improved Fade (which is not worth it). It’s not maxed because I feel a 2 second reduction is satisfactory, and it allows an extra 2% mana in the Discipline tree. You can switch the two if you feel it warrants. This is a great talent build to use while you are leveling. It has the essential damage and mana talents, as well as Improved Power Word: Sheild for survivability.

Free WoW Guide: Mining Gloves

I found this quite helpful for increasing my mining skill:
http://www.thottbot.com/?i=16411

It's an enchantment for gloves that adds +5 to your mining skill.

Free WoW Guide: Stratholme

Stratholme is an undead zone that is limited to 10 people only. Some parts can be single grouped. Some are best done with 2 groups. You can both pick up gear here that benefits you when raiding in UBRS and MC and Onyxia, and you can work on basic raid tactics in this zone. This is meant to be a broad overview of the zone and some of the raid value that you can obtain from it and not a detailed walkthrough.

Stratholme is divided into two sides: The live side and the dead side. The zone is basically a burning town where the undead control some and the Scarlet Brotherhood controls some and they battle each other with you killing them both.

If you are an agent of the Argent Dawn, put on your trinket so that you will see and be able to collect the Scourgestones for faction. Scourgestones are turned in to an NPC that is located by White Hope Chapel in Eastern Plaguelands. A high enough faction results in better purchases being made from the Quartermaster. One of those purchases is an item that lets you add +5 To All Resistances to one of your items. That makes Scourgestones worth collecting.

Now, when you zone in and clear the initial undead in your way you will reach an intersection. You can go left or right. Left leads to the live side and ultimately a fight with the demon boss. The right leads to the undead side and ultimately a fight with the baron.

The live side is a lot of fun. As you reach the Scarlet stronghold and work through it periodically you trigger attacks by the undead on the living and they come storming in and you find yourself in the awkward position of defending the brotherhood from the undead so you can fight in deeper and kill them all. It is not the purpose of this guide to get into all of the misc. single group quests that you can solve there but since many pulls are 3 to 6 scarlet brotherhood (or an equal or greater number of undead) you will need to practice the skills of crowd control, proper tanking, aggro management etc..

The dead side is also fun with a number of nice challenges. It is very important that whenever you pass under a bridge with a portcullis that the entire raid move as one unit. If you do not, they will often slam down, trigger an event and divide the raid so that only a portion can participate. With only 10 troops are your disposal this is often a fatal mistake.

If you see any of the “eyes”, kill them ASAP or they summon reinforcements. Always… always… kill the eyes first. You know they are there because you will head the shout “The Living Are Here!” and the eye will become visible. It has very few hitpoints so kill it very rapidly. You will wipe if you don’t as it will chain summon elite high level mobs until you are dead.

Blizzard keeps tweaking Strat and in patches in the 2nd Quarter of 2005 they are adding many new magic items. They are also once again tweaking the baroness to make it so that when she pops out of the person she possesses that they are at full health.

Note: The sword-smith quest is also in Strat. You need to 5 man to the dead side in order to get that done. You can reach this quest the fastest if you take the back door into Stratholme.

There is a backdoor into the dead side that is entered via a cave to the east of Stratholme in EP. A rogue can pick the lock if you don’t have a key. This is useful if you are doing the dead side quests since you avoid a fair number of mobs on the way.

You can find a complete listing of quests involving Stratholme located here:
http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/qlookup.html?zone=67

Free WoW Guide: Alliance lvl 1-10

Do your starting zone: Elwynn, Teldrassil, Dun Morough. This will get you to about level nine to eleven. Make sure you do all the quests you can. There are quests to defeat elite monsters, but usually there will be others willing to join you if you ask in the common chat channel.

Humans

Now, you’re going to want to talk to the first guard you talked to when you entered the game. He’ll have you clean up some thieves to the east. Turn that quest in when you collect enough of their bandanas and he’ll give you a new quest to kill the leader of the thieves and ask you to talk to a woman (directly north of him past graveyard) who will have you pick berry baskets located around the thieves.

Next, head south to Goldshire. There are three quests you’ll want to pick up since they all relate to the same area. The first you get from the knight in the middle of Goldshire. The second is in the inn. The third is given by a merchant in the South part of Goldshire. Head south to the Fargodeep Mine, which is located in between two farms. Collect the gold dust and candles from the kobolds in the mine while exploring.

Once you have completed these missions, head to the east farm and pick up the quest from the woman in the house. Now head to the west farm and get the two quests from the women and head to the west bank. Talk to the man, then to the granny. Head back up north to Goldshire and turn in the mine quests. Make sure to pick up the invisibility potion quest within the inn. Now head east to the lake, kill Murlocs to get the frond, and return it to get the potion before heading back to the east farm. Give the potion to the girl in the house. Then talk to Billy next to the barn. Kill enough swine in the farm’s yard or outside to get the boar meat you need. Head to the west farm to have it cooked, then back to Billy who will tell you he lost the heirloom.

Go back into Fargodeep Mine and head to the back where the top and bottom section meet. This is where goldtooth spawns. Kill him and turn in the quest. Head back to Goldshire and pick up the Jangolode and Murloc quests. Head east until you reach the end of the lake, then turn north and explore Jangolode. Head back to Goldshire to turn in the quests.

Talk to the guy in the inn and he’ll give you a quest to go to Stormwind. Head into Stormwind (west of the starting area). The apothecary is on the left hand side. Turn in the quest. Outside of the apothecary is a man who will give you a wine advertisement - take it. Head into the armor shop in the middle-right of the trade district and pick up the thread quest. Both the thread shop and wine shop are on the trade district side of the canal. Turn them in. Now is a good time to take two professions. Ask a guard where your profession trainer is.

Now head east even further till you reach a bridge. Talk to the guard their and pick up his two missions. Now head east past the river and enter Eastvale. In Eastvale you can pick up a quest to kill Defias and another to collect wood. Run along the left side of the river you just crossed until you get to a shield and chunk of flesh, inspect it. Now, head to the island located in the lake. Kill the Defias thieves here. These are the best experience creatures from level 7-11, so if you’re a grinder, here’s the place. Their drops are not bad either. Grind these at least until they drop a “Westfall Deed”.

Get the bandanas and then head to the east side of the river where all the Murloc camps are. The second guard’s body is in the middle of this large camp. It’s best to approach from the water if you are a puller, or from the south if you have no ranged abilities. Inspect the body and turn in the Defias and Murloc quests. Head back to Goldshire and turn in the quest, then head back to the bridge. You will now see that the guard has a new quest (which most miss) to kill Murlocs. Kill bears, Murlocs, prowlers, and collect wood under trees in this area and turn the quests into the guard.

Head back to Goldshire and there should be a new quest to Westbrook. Head west until you reach a garrison. Read the wanted sign to kill Hogger and start asking in common chat if anyone wants to join you. Talk to the guard in front of the garrison to get the gnoll-killing quest. Kill gnolls (and Hogger if you have a group).

Now keep grinding gnolls until one drops a “Gold Collectors Pickup Schedule”. Read it. Go to Goldshire to start the quest. Now head due east from where you killed Hogger, past the farms, past everything. Eventually (very long run) you will reach a farm with a pumpkin patch. Kill the boar named princess. In the farmhouse you will see the collector. If you got the pickup quest, kill him for the quest and get his ring. Turn in the quests and pick up a delivery mission in the forge (follow it to Stormwind) and you’re done with Elwynn.

Take the Deeprun Tram to Ironforge. Here you’re going to want to exit and head west. Along the Western route, keep your eyes to the North where you will see a ranch. You’ll need at least two for this mission. Go into the ranch and talk with the farmer who will give you a quest to kill a yeti. Head west of the ranch a little until you see a path up the mountain. Slay the yeti.

Continue along the road east and you will see a quarry. Take the two trogg-killing missions. The troggs for the easier quest are outside, the harder ones are inside. Kill’m all and turn it in. Head further east to Loch Modan.

Dwarves/Gnomes

Talk to the NPCs in front of you to get the missions to kill troggs and wolves. Head north-east and do so. Head back to the camp and turn in the missions. Now head into Anvilmaar and talk to your trainer and get more quests there. Do the crate quest. The crate is located in a Trogg camp a little south-west of the starting area. Turn that in.

Now get the mail delivery quest and head west along the road. Turn it in and get the boar-killing quest. You can kill boars behind the tent where you get the quest. Do the next delivery by once again following the road. This NPC will have you kill trolls. Walk to the south to the troll cave and do the troll-killing missions. The head troll is in the back of the cave for the journal mission

Now the quests should lead you west of Anvilmaar to the exit of the newbie zone. Kill the Troggs and exit the newbie area. Follow the road to the Dwarven city of Kharanos. At this point you’re going to want to head further north to Ironforge. Take the Deeprun tram in the engineer’s wing to Stormwind. It saves you about half an hour to do the Elwynn missions. Following the human path is much easier, as some of the dwarf missions can have you dying to trolls several times and just aren’t worth it.

Night Elves

You start off in Aldrassil. Pick up the quest to talk with the dryad along with the Nightsabre/Boar quest. You can find the dryad pretty easily simply by going west of the quest giver. Kill the boars, cats, and grells and turn in the missions. Pick up the webwood egg mission, along with the one to help the brewer’s friend. Head north-west to the cave and kill the spiders for their venom. To the left of the cave, in a nook, is the sick friend, talk to him.

Now head back and turn in the quests. You’ll now need to collect some eggs, do so by heading to the back of the cave. You can pick up the ingredients for the antidote at the lake in the middle of the newbie zone and under trees. Rush the antidote to the friend. There should be an NPC with a ? over his head on the west side of Aldrassil. Talk to him, then head up the tree to get the vials quest. Get to the North-Center and fill the vial and head back. After cashing in the quest, leave the newbie zone and follow the road to Dolanaar.

Outside of Dolonaar, grab the satyr quest. As you travel around, make sure you kill the required creatures for their items for Zenn. Heading into Dolonaar you’ll notice you can take several missions. Grab the mission to find a druid in Starbreeze village. The north building will have a quest called “A troubling breeze”. There is also a “hidden” quest if you go further up. It’s called the “Emerald Dreamcatcher”, nab it! Grab the cook’s mission for spider legs (kill spiders whenever you see one) and talk with the druid on the south end of town for the vial quest. Head to Starbreeze village to the big building on the left, killing the Furlbolgs on the way. You will also see a Moonwell, where you can fill the vial. Walk into the building and go to the top floor to get the next part of the quest. Now head further into the village to the houses, in one will be a drawer with the dreamcatcher in it. Head back to Dolonaar to turn in the three quests.

Grind a bit by killing the local creatures (doing the Zenn and cooking quest is a good idea!) and grab the mission that will take you to the lake. On the south side of the lake is a druid with two more quests for you: A drop and a very weird pickup mission. Kill the swamp beasts you see and pick up the seeds, then turn in the quest.

The rest of the quests in Dolonaar are group-oriented, so get some buddies. If you don’t have friends, head to the human section and do those quests. Head to Darnassus, from their portal to the village. Griffon to Darkshore, then take the boat from Darkshore to Menethil. Click the griffon master in Menethil to get the travel point (though you can’t use it yet) and then run north, then east, then south to Loch Modan. Pick up the Loch Modan travel point in Theslamar village and then head southwest to Dun Morough. From there on it’s west to Ironforge (get the griffon point) and onto the tram to Stormwind.

If you find some group mates, get the “twisted hatred” mission and head north to the cave. Kill the grell and the satyr in the cave. Cash it in. Then head southeast after you pick up the relics quest in Dolonaar. Do the quest for the cool reward. Now you should head to the human missions as well - they are much more fun.

Free WoW Guide: Tradeskill Loot

The following list is a most-wanted list for trade skills (taking into account quality and quantity of the items you can sell). Save these items and make sure you sell them on weekends on the AH. They will fetch a nice price. One thing to note: Alliance players will find that Leather doesn’t sell very well while horde players can make a decent coin of selling skinning products.
